Goodyear is a city in Maricopa County, Arizona, United States. The population was 18,911, at the 2000 census, compared to 3,137 people in 1980. Goodyear was the third fastest-growing place among all cities and towns in Arizona of any size from 1990 and 2000.

The city is known in O'odham (Pima) as Valin Dak. The Arizona State Prison Complex - Perryville is located in Goodyear.
